Graduated in chemistry, in 2004 I joined the Institute of Ceramics and Glass defending in 2007 my Doctoral Thesis entitled “Synthesis and characterization of porous and non-porous oxycarbon glasses” and as porous acoustic absorbent materials for aeronautical applications. In 2008 I joined as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Colorado at Boulder (Boulder, Co, USA) under the supervision of Prof. Raj, developing fibers and ceramic membranes of functionalized carbon nanotubes and in 2009 and 2010 I joined the Technische Universität Darmstadt (Darmstadt, Germany) and worked with Prof. h.c Dr. Ralf Riedel for structural modeling of materials using SAXS. In 2010 I returned to the ICV conducting research on anti-icing coatings for wind turbine blades and the reduction of greenhouse gases.
