In this project, the incorporation of functionalized inorganic nanoparticles in different textile materials will be investigated in order to increase their resistance to staining as well as to improve their cleaning in the presence of water or any conventional or specific detergent to be developed.
The processes of surface modification of textile fibres coated with functionalized nanoparticles based on compounds of low surface energy, both dispersive and specific, will be studied.
