This project will develop a unique composite material processing technology for new-design wind blades used in wind power energy. For this, special moulds will be developed for curing the composite materials reinforced with carbon nanofibers while these moulds are fully monitored to improve the production process. New resins and surface treatments (gel-coats) will be developed to minimize the aerodynamic resistance of the wind blade movement under useing conditions.

Finally, the materials developed for both the blade and the core will be chosen those that present better properties in terms of their future recycling when the wind blade had finished its useful life cycle.
